The phrase”Limited Advice” is used to describe the relationship between an investor and a financial adviser at Mondial (Dubai) LLC, in which the investor is looking for specific recommendations and not a full balance sheet overview.

Examples of such a meeting might arise where the client/investor is seeking, say, Mortgage Facilities, or a Pension Plan, or School Fee Planning. From Mondial’s perspective, we would expect to see a CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT PROFILE (CCP or often called a Fact Find), as an element of advice is being requested by the investor.

The Compliance Department at Mondial will not transact any “Limited Advice” sales without the CCP. The CCP needs to be signed by the investor. And other Key Points to note are:

1. The usual set of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) paperwork will be needed. This requires a basic level of KYC (Know Your Client), to demonstrate that the third party broker/introducer is fully aware of the people they are assisting in transacting the trade or the purchase. Whilst paperwork requirements vary between different institutions, investors should generally expect to provide: passports; proof of address; and utility bills; as a minimum.
2. At Mondial (Dubai) LLC, the investor will be provided with a basic written report describing the reasons why a product has been recommended.
3. In the event of a dispute, investors should contact, in the first instance, the Mondial (Dubai) LLC Compliance Department. They will undertake to look at the files and interview advisers/staff within 24 hours. Investors may also be aware that Mondial (Dubai) LLC is licensed by The Central Bank of The UAE.
