At Mondial (Dubai) LLC we pride ourselves in remaining at the forefront of the region’s financial consultancy sector when it comes to standards. Until recently, the question of which benchmark should be used to set standards lacked local recognition and local regulatory approval. However, in recent years, Mondial’s regulator has been instrumental in changing that perception and has worked with the Chartered Institute Of Securities and Investment (CISI) to set standards under its “Qualifications-Led” licensing regime.

In terms of providing financial consultancy advice, the minimum standard set by SCA can be viewed in Figure 3. Current SCA mandated requirements are that all financial analysts hold a university degree (unless Emirati nationals) and have passed the four required CISI exams. All Mondial recruits from 2018 are subject to these requirements. With effect from July/August 2018, all financial advice is signed off by Financial Analysts.
